Though we will never be here again

We really worked hard on studying the weather heading out of Flagstaff. The word on the street was no snow Saturday night followed by a huge blizzard Sunday at noon. Our plan was to head out at daylight to get ahead of the storm. The weatherman screwed us again and dropped a ton of snow over night. Our daylight escape turned out to be a slip, slide and skid trip into downtown Flagstaff where we waited for melting to happen. Thus confirmed that our tires are not snow and ice rated.

We got a bit of melt and headed out of town. Things went pretty good all the way to Winslow. The Eagles forced us to pit here for some tourist time. It was a highlight of the tour so far.

From there we seemed to be making good time until the I40 road closure just outside of Gallup. We had considered an over night in this town but the weatherman once again said snowmaggedon was going to come. We continued on to the romantic city of Albuquerque.
